Dr. Walter Campbell Pilot Award

 

AWARD RULES

 
[Amended and Revised January, 1999]

Purpose:
The Pilot Award is designed to award a Past District Governor in each sub-district and a Past District Governor in the Multiple District, for outstanding efforts, dedication, and contributions during the preceding calendar year on behalf of Lionism.

Contest Period:
The award shall cover the accomplishments realized during the period January 1st through December 31st of the preceding calendar year to be awarded during the MD Convention.

Eligibility:
All Past District Governors, except the Immediate Past District Governor and also a PDG serving as Council Chairman, for the total award period, whose membership is in Multiple District 35 are eligible for the sub district award. Only the winners of the sub-district award are eligible for the Multiple District award. Past winners shall not be eligible for the Multiple District or the sub-district award. The spouse or partner in service of anyone serving in that capacity shall not be eligible during the same year.

The Chairman serving on this committee is the previous year's winner along with the Zone Chairman. They are to determine any Past District Governors that are eligible during that time. The committee is to determine who has demonstrated the most [re: the purpose]. Then that PDG will complete an entry form furnished by the Chairman. The District Governor is responsible for the ordering of the sub-district award and for payment of same.
