OBJECTIVES: This award is designed to assist the NEW LION member to become thoroughly familiar and fully involved in the activities and purposes of Lionism.
ELIGIBILITY: This award is available only to NEW members in their first year of membership, beginning with induction. The sponsoring Lion is responsible for assisting the new member in the pursuit of their requirements. The club membership director should secure the completed forms for certification by the clubs board of directors who, after their approval, shall send the form to the district chairperson.
EACH OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE MANDATORY: (MUST COMPLETE 9 OUT OF THE 10) Date Initial
1. Read and review the Lions manual found in the ______ ______ new member kit. Serve as a greeter at four meetings.
2. Attend a board of directors meeting. ______ ______
3. Attend a zone meeting. ______ ______
4. Participate actively in two Club projects. ______ ______
5. Attend two other club meetings OR visit the Florida Lions Conklin Center or Camp. ______ ______
6. Attend two club social functions. ______ ______
7. Attend a Multiple District Conference or attend A new member orientation. ______ ______
8. Attend 75% or better of regular club meetings. ______ ______
9. Attend one District Governor’s cabinet meeting OR eye bank meeting. ______ ______
10. Recruit one (1) new member. ______ ______
The sponsoring Lion will date and initial each item of achievement as accomplished and secure certification by the club secretary.
